The FIJI Humvee Push started in 2012 at Johns Hopkins University by the Beta Mu chapter of Phi Gamma Delta to raise money and awareness for the USO and the U.S. military. Due to Pi Iota’s tight connections with the military, supporting the USO is always a top priority, especially for Brothers participating in ROTC or those who are enlisted.
This FIJI Humvee Push is be a competition in which teams of 10 which take turns pushing a military Humvee along the Quad Loop in front of Morgan hall to Riley hall. The team that pushes the military Humvee to the finish line in the shortest amount of time will be deemed the champion. The winning team will receive significant bragging rights, a custom made trophy, and custom Humvee push t-shirts.
The purpose of this event is to call upon the WPI community, and Phi Gamma Delta brothers alike, to assist with raising funds for the USO in a fun, active, and unique manner!
